Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, and records shortages. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Incumbents may be matched to this position if they are responsible for one of the functions instead of both shipping and receiving. In partnership with state and federally funded workforce development programs, we are offering a six-month, paid On-the-Job Training opportunity for a Receiving Assistant. This temporary, non-permanent role is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience in receiving and materials operations while supporting the development of foundational workplace and operational skills. This opportunity is ideal for individuals early in their career who are interested in warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, or manufacturing support and who want to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced industrial environment. Participants will work alongside experienced receiving and operations team members to learn how inbound materials are processed and prepared for production. Under close supervision, the Receiving Assistant will support day-to-day receiving activities. Responsibilities may include: Assisting with unloading and inspecting incoming materials, verifying shipments against purchase orders and documentation. Supporting accurate data entry and recordkeeping, labeling and staging materials, and coordinating with purchasing, inventory, and production teams. Assisting with maintaining a clean and organized receiving area and following established safety and material handling procedures. The role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to safety. Participants will be expected to follow established processes, accurately document materials received, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders. Prior experience or interest in manufacturing, warehouse operations, or logistics is beneficial, but not required. Throughout the program, participants will develop skills in receiving processes, inventory accuracy, documentation standards, and safe material handling practices. The role provides exposure to manufacturing supply flow, internal coordination, and the importance of accuracy and timeliness in supporting production operations. Upon completion of the six-month On-the-Job Training program, participants will leave with relevant receiving and operations experience, strengthened technical and workplace skills, and increased readiness for future roles in warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, or manufacturing support. This position does not guarantee continued employment; however, the experience gained is intended to support long-term career development. Cerro Flow Products LLC is an equal opportunity employer. Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law. We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class. If you require any reasonable accommodation to complete your application or any part of the recruiting process, please email your request to careers@marmon.com, and please be sure to include the title and the location of the position for which you are applying.
