The Department of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking an outstanding clinician-scholar to serve as Director of the Melanoma Skin Cancer Program. This full-time Health Sciences / Clinical X faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor rank offers a distinctive opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary clinical program focused on melanoma and cutaneous oncology within UCSFs renowned dermatology and cancer care environment.
The Director will have primary responsibility for clinical leadership and program development, partnering with medical and surgical oncology, procedural dermatology, dermatopathology, and basic and translational research teams. This role focuses on delivering exemplary patient care at a state-of-the-art outpatient dermatology clinic and/or Cancer Center at the Mission Bay campus, with potential responsibilities across other UCSF clinical sites.
Clinical expertise in the diagnosis, management, and multidisciplinary care of melanoma and pigmented lesions is a priority, along with a demonstrated vision for collaboration, clinical innovation, and academic leadership.

What Were Looking For
- MD or equivalent degree.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Dermatology with strong clinical expertise in melanoma and cutaneous oncology.
- Eligibility for California medical licensure by the time of hire.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5
The minimum base salary range for this position is $190,600 - $405,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Specific total compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and leadership responsibilities.
