Golf School District 67 is seeking a high-level leader for the position of Director of Business Services and Operations. As a key member of the district leadership team, you will oversee, supervise, and serve as the primary decision-maker for all financial and operational functions, ensuring long-term fiscal stability and transparency in alignment with our mission: "Learning Today... Qualifications

Licensure: Must hold an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Chief School Business Official (CSBO) endorsement preferred.

Education: Master;s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Educational Leadership required.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in school finance, public-sector accounting, or high-level business management.

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with school ERP/financial systems (e.g., Infinite Visions) and student information systems

Knowledge: Deep understanding of ISBE regulations, GASB standards, and the Illinois School Code.

Primary Responsibilities & Goals

Financial Leadership: Lead the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of the annual district budget and manage long-range financial forecasting and debt management.

Operational Oversight: Supervise the Director of Buildings and Grounds and the Business Services Coordinator to ensure operational efficiency across all in-house and contracted services.

Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and present monthly financial statements to the Board of Education, ensuring adherence to GASB standards and ISBE compliance.

Human Resources & Benefits: Manage district HR functions, including the administration of employee benefit programs and active participation in collective bargaining.

Risk Management: Lead the district's insurance programs and risk assessment efforts to ensure comprehensive coverage and legal compliance.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Schedule: High-visibility role requiring attendance at evening Board of Education meetings and various committee sessions.

Environment: Primarily based within the District Administration Center, with regular visits to school sites to evaluate facility needs.

Physical Requirements: Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations, involving frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting.

Confidentiality: Must maintain the highest level of discretion regarding sensitive matters such as personnel costs and legal settlements.

Salary Range $150,000 - $170,000
