Pay Range : $16.92 - $25.38 per hour | Based on Relevant Experience
Schedule : Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. | Hours may vary based on departmental needs, and occasional travel to outreach locations will be required
About the Role :
As an Ophthalmic Assistant at Quincy Medical Group, you will play a vital role in supporting ophthalmologists in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders and diseases. You'll conduct a variety of tests and measures to evaluate eye function with the goal to provide valuable insights to your team of eye care professionals to ensure patients receive high-quality eye care.
Primary Responsibilities :
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to assess vision and eye function.
  • Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures.
  • Educate patients on eye care, treatment plans, and procedures.
  • Accurately document patient history, test results, and treatments in electronic health records (EHRs).
  • Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Qualifications :
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CPR certification required (available upon hire).
  • Ophthalmic Assistant certification preferred.
  • 1 year of related experience preferred but not required.
  • Open to learning medical terminology and expanding healthcare knowledge.
