Minimum of 6 years of experience in SQL Server 2016 or later database administration Proficient in all facets of SQL DBA Administration Hands-on expertise in installing and upgrading SQL Servers, including applying service packs Experience with routine database maintenance, including creating and scheduling jobs, rebuilding indexes, and conducting consistency checks Familiarity with SQL Server native tools and services such as Profiler, Index Tuning Advisor, and Performance Monitor Strong knowledge of SQL Server security and auditing, including user security and database roles Capacity planning skills for storage and database objects Experience in establishing standards for database backups and developing recovery procedures for RPO and RTO Proficient in T-SQL coding, tuning, and ETL methodologies Familiar with SQL Server High Availability methods including mirroring and Always On At least 4 years of Windows Server Administration experience Familiarity with PowerShell for administrative tasks Experience in cluster configuration and maintenance Responsibilities
Provide reliable, cost-effective, and secure support for business-critical databases Execute installation and upgrades of SQL Servers, ensuring service packs are applied Conduct routine database maintenance and create SQL Server jobs to automate these tasks Monitor and manage database health by reviewing error and event logs Administer SQL Server security protocols, including user roles and auditing techniques Manage storage capacity and optimize disk space for SQL Server databases Establish and maintain database backup standards and recovery procedures Create and test Disaster Recovery plans to ensure business continuity Collaborate on SQL Server High Availability setups and configurations Offer 24-hour support as needed and maintain effective communication with team members Company: We are seeking a Senior SQL Database Administrator to join our team in Little Rock, AR. This position is on-site and is expected to last for a duration of 6 months or longer, with the possibility of extensions.
