Role Description This is a part-time, on-site role for a Tax Preparer located in Plymouth, MA. As a Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing individual and small business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws. Key responsibilities include conducting client interviews, reviewing financial documents, calculating tax liabilities, and delivering an exceptional customer service experience. Tax Preparers will also provide guidance to clients on potential credits and deductions and work to resolve any related issues.
Qualifications
Proficiency in personal income tax preparation, tax laws, and familiarity with tax software applications.
Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills to process and review financial records effectively.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to complete tax preparation training; prior experience in tax preparation or relevant certifications is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in accounting, finance, or related fields is beneficial.
