The Production Coordinator provides leadership, vision, and oversight for the live production support and technical production equipment needs of Ames Campus Ministry areas. The ProductionCoordinatorbuildsrelationships with campus leadership, worship and ministrypartners, and volunteers. (S)/He may supervise full- or part-time Production staff members.

Live production support includes audio, video, lighting, and staging expertise, collaborative planning, and volunteer development and scheduling. Technical production equipment needs include maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, recommendations, and installation. Ministry needs include weekend worship services, Student Ministry, Kairos, adult classes, weddings, funerals, special events, holiday services, etc.

General Responsibilities ProductionCoordinatorresponsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop and maintain a good relationship and open communication with the campus leadership, worship leaders, and ministry partners.

Identify opportunities to increase effectiveness of production support to Hope’s various ministries.

Prepare annual Production budget, in coordination with campus leadership. Make purchase recommendations, maintain inventory system, and monitor budget spending.

Recruit, equip and empower volunteers to live out the Production Purpose Statement. Develop and implement a strategy for training and developing volunteers

Keep up to date on the use of essential production equipment and technology. Provide technical ideas and solutions when collaborating with ministry partners to plan worship services, events, and set design.

Provide technical production support for worship services, ministry events, programming and classes. Prepare for upcoming events, including planning with and advisingministrypartners, scheduling team members, creating stage plot, researching and recommending rental equipment, programming lighting, testing assets, etc.

Perform regular cleaning, preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation of production equipment.

Coordinate with IT to perform on-site physical validation of IT equipment, as needed.

Extra duties as assigned to support Hope’s ministries and mission.

Skills, Education and Experience

Good technical knowledge audio, lighting, video, and staging disciplines.

Experience mixing Front of House and monitor audio for bands in a live environment. Familiar operating large format digital mixing consoles. Familiar with wireless microphone coordination for large-scale facilities using multiple wireless microphone and IEM systems simultaneously.

Experience with lighting systems, fixtures, and consoles. Experience creating lighting plots and programming lighting looks.

Leadership or supervisory experience. Ability to supervise, inspire and equip staff and volunteers.

Strong organizational skills for administration and leadership of team-based ministry.

Able to work independently, with limited supervision, and demonstrates initiative. Able to multi-task and adjust to changing situations.

Works well with others, maintaining positive and effective relationships. Communicates effectively in written and verbal forms.

Demonstrates good project management skills. Able to complete tasks on time and up to quality expectations.

Ability to prioritize and boundary ministry with personal and family life.

Must be able to see and hear within normal limits with or without corrective devices. Work involves normal activity of walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling and lifting weights up to 50 pounds. Must also be able to climb ladders and work at heights of 40’ or more on catwalks or work platforms.

Requires evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay and Benefits:

Full time, salary

Pay commensurate with position and experience, based upon National Wage Survey(s) of Comparative Churches
