Job Description This role is based in our605 Third Avenue Office.

Black Hat is seeking a strategic and creative Content Marketing Manager to lead our content initiatives and drive audience engagement across all event properties and cybersecurity product offerings.

In this role, you will develop and execute comprehensive content strategies that attract, engage, and convert prospects into event attendees and/or customers, while building brand authority in the cybersecurity industry sector and beyond.

Key Responsibilities Content Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute comprehensive content marketing strategies aligned with event goals and business objectives

Create annual content calendars supporting event promotion cycles and year-round audience engagement

Conduct content audits and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and gaps

Define content themes, messaging frameworks, and editorial guidelines

Content Creation & Management

Produce high-quality, engaging content across multiple formats including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, videos, podcasts, and social media content

Collaborate with subject matter experts, speakers, and industry leaders to create thought leadership content

Develop event-specific content including speaker spotlights, agenda highlights, industry insights, and attendee success stories

Manage content production workflows and editorial calendars

Multi-Channel Content Distribution

Optimize content for various channels including website, email campaigns, social media, and paid advertising

Develop content for pre-event, during-event, and post-event phases of the attendee journey

Create content that supports lead generation and nurturing campaigns

Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all content touchpoints

Performance Analysis & Optimization

Track and analyze content performance metrics including engagement, lead generation, and conversion rates

Use data insights to optimize content strategy and improve ROI

Report on content marketing KPIs and their impact on event registration and revenue goals

Conduct A/B testing on content formats, headlines, and distribution strategies

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with marketing, sales, and event teams to align content with business objectives

Work closely with design and digital teams to ensure content is visually compelling and optimized

Collaborate with speaker relations and programming teams to develop content around event themes

Support PR and communications efforts with relevant content assets

Industry Expertise & Thought Leadership

Stay current with industry trends, news, and developments relevant to our event sectors

Build relationships with industry influencers, media, and content partners

Represent the company at industry events and contribute to external publications when appropriate

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field, or demonstrable work experience equivalent

3-5 years of content marketing experience, preferably in events, B2B, or related industries

Proven track record of creating content that drives engagement and conversions

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple formats

Experience with content management systems, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools

Understanding of SEO best practices and content optimization

Project management skills with ability to manage multiple content streams simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the events or conference industry

Knowledge of video production and podcast creation

Familiarity with marketing automation and lead scoring

Experience with paid content promotion and social media advertising

Understanding of account-based marketing principles

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 based on experience.
