To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position, please review this .The Multimedia Specialist 2 for the College of Arts and Sciences develops, produces, and manages multimedia projects—including photography, videography, digital graphics, and other creative assets—to effectively tell the stories and highlight the achievements, people, and impact of the College and its many departments, programs, and initiatives. The incumbent is responsible for creating dynamic and visually compelling content that supports the College’s strategic communications, branding, and marketing objectives across multiple digital platforms.
This position collaborates closely with academic departments, programs, and administrative offices within the College to enhance engagement through websites, e-newsletters, social media, digital signage, and other communication channels.**SPECIFIC DUTIES RELATED TO THE COLLEGE OF A&S:**1.
Conceptualize, plan, and execute multimedia projects—photography, videography, digital graphics, and interactive media—that promote the College’s initiatives, research, and academic excellence.2.
Create content that aligns with the College’s brand identity, tone, and strategic communication goals.3.
Manage and maintain multimedia archives, ensuring efficient organization and accessibility of digital assets.4.
Produce video and photo content for the College’s website, social media platforms, e-newsletters, and digital signage.5.
Assist CAS leadership, departments, and programs in identifying and executing opportunities to advance the college and university priorities through effective communications that are delivered through vehicles appropriate to their content (e.g., letters, emails, website updates, etc.). Regularly update the college’s primary web pages and share news through internal communications platforms.6.
Support and maintain the College’s digital communication channels, including content updates, layout enhancements, and visual storytelling.7.
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to identify compelling stories and translate them into engaging multimedia formats.8.
Supervise and mentor student employees, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and fostering skill development in multimedia production.9.
Track engagement metrics and assess the effectiveness of multimedia and digital marketing efforts.10.
Ensure all content complies with University and College brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and best practices in digital communication.11.
Contributes to the overall success of the College by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.**Minimum Qualifications:*** Bachelor's degree.* Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.**Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:**-
