through thoughtful strategy, creative execution, and disciplined analytics.
Role Summary The
Part-Time Marketing Specialist
is responsible for owning and executing Olympia’s core marketing initiatives, including email marketing, social media, educational content (blogs, podcasts, and TED-style talks), and event coordination. This is a hands‑on, high-impact role designed for someone who wants to elevate Olympia’s brand, visibility, and client engagement—not simply maintain existing efforts.
This role blends creative storytelling with disciplined execution,
weekly performance tracking , analytics, and professionalism in a regulated financial services environment.

What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days
Publish a 90‑day editorial calendar across email, social media, blog/web, and audio/video content.
Launch or refresh a segmented monthly client newsletter.
Publish 1–2 educational blog posts aligned with SEO and client FAQs.
Support the planning, scripting, or launch of an educational podcast episode or TED‑style talk.
Deliver a
weekly performance snapshot
highlighting key marketing metrics.
Build a simple reporting dashboard and propose at least two data‑driven experiments.
Plan and execute one client or prospect‑focused event or webinar, including post‑event follow‑up.
Identify and implement high‑impact improvements that
elevate Olympia’s brand and marketing effectiveness .
Key Responsibilities Email Marketing
Develop and manage a content calendar for client emails and newsletters.
Write clear, client‑friendly copy aligned with brand and compliance standards.
Segment lists, run A/B tests, and track deliverability, open rates, click‑throughs, and conversions.
Maintain clean lists, opt‑in/opt‑out processes, and archive materials per compliance requirements.
Social Media
Own the editorial calendar and posting across approved platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
Promote blogs, podcast episodes, educational talks, events, and key firm initiatives.
Write short‑form content and thoughtfully curate third‑party articles.
Monitor comments and direct messages.
Coordinate paid boosts or ads as needed; tag UTMs and report performance.
Content Creation (Blogs, Podcasts & Educational Talks)
Research, draft, and edit content including:
Blog posts and SEO‑driven educational articles
Podcast concepts, outlines, show notes, and promotional copy
TED‑style talk scripts, talking points, and presentation narratives
Client guides, FAQs, checklists, video scripts, and handouts
Collaborate with leadership to translate expertise into engaging, compliant educational content.
Repurpose content across email, social media, web, podcasts, events, and presentations.
Event Coordination (In‑Person & Virtual)
Plan and execute educational workshops, webinars, client appreciation events, and community sponsorships.
Support live or recorded educational talks and podcast‑style events.
Manage invitations, registrations/RSVPs, venues, logistics, and partner coordination.
Create event assets including landing pages, email sequences, handouts, and slide decks.
Capture leads and manage post‑event follow‑up to support business development.
SEO & Website Support
Conduct keyword research and optimize on‑page elements (titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking).
Recommend content pillars and topic clusters aligned with blogs, podcasts, and educational talks.
Monitor rankings and traffic using Analytics and Search Console.
Suggest improvements to site architecture, local SEO, Google Business Profile, reviews, and citations.
Analytics & Reporting
Maintain a
weekly and monthly reporting cadence
for leadership.
Track performance across email, social media, blogs, podcasts, educational talks, events, and web traffic.
Provide weekly insights and recommendations—highlighting what’s working, what’s not, and what to test next.
Maintain a simple dashboard connecting marketing activity to lead generation and business development outcomes.
Risk & Compliance
Submit marketing materials (including blogs, podcast scripts, and presentation content) for compliance review as required.
Maintain brand standards, disclosures, and best practices in a regulated financial services environment.
Qualifications
3+ years of hands‑on marketing experience (financial services or professional services preferred).
Strong copywriting and editing skills with the ability to translate complex topics into plain‑English education.
Experience creating or supporting blogs, podcasts, video content, or educational presentations.
Demonstrated experience with SEO fundamentals, content optimization, and basic analytics.
Comfort reporting and discussing
weekly marketing performance
with leadership.
Experience with common tools such as:
CRM (Olympia uses Redtail)
Email platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, or Constant Contact)
Social schedulers (Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar)
Basic design tools (Canva, Adobe Express)
Web analytics tools
Highly organized, deadline‑driven, and able to manage multiple projects independently.
Experience working within broker‑dealer or RIA marketing compliance guidelines is a plus.
Education & Certifications
Required:
Recent college graduate or current student (junior year or above) pursuing a BA/BS in Marketing or a closely related field (Communications, Digital Media, Business with a marketing concentration).
Coursework:
Exposure to digital marketing, content strategy, analytics, SEO, and media production through classes, projects, or internships.
Portfolio/Writing Samples:
2–3 samples or links showcasing blog posts, email content, social media, podcast materials, or presentation scripts.
