Reporting into the VP, Communications at HID, the Social Media Manager II will be responsible for managing all social media activities globally, including building corporate social media content; the creation of strategic social media plans that are aligned with the company's communications framework; and the development of timely, engaging content - including multimedia - for social campaigns.
This position will work closely with teams across HID's business areas, along with corporate subject matter experts, to execute successful thought leadership campaigns globally through social media, all with the goal of increasing audience size, engagement, and conversions.
The role requires outstanding communications skills, a track record of driving engaging, meaningful social campaigns that tell a story, an ability and desire to closely collaborate with stakeholders across the entire organization, and the ability to execute high quality work efficiently and at a high quality.
Your Experience and Background Experience and Background include:
Minimum 2 years of social media management experience
Experience in business-to-business (B2B) preferred
Experience in technology social media a plus
Experience and knowledge in copywriting, proofreading and editing
Demonstrated examples of engaging social media campaigns and related content
Superior communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with social media management platforms, such as Hootsuite
Strong understanding of social media KPIs and ability to report on them
Strong project management and analytical skills
Highly collaborative with ability to prioritize multiple stakeholder requests
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or related marketing discipline
Candidates with equivalent education plus relevant work experience may also be considered
Experience with social media platforms and management tools
Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows

Responsibilities
Driving corporate social media strategy, including implementation across platforms
Working closely with Business Area Marketing teams to generate social content and campaigns that drive larger HID narrative
Creating and implementing social media campaigns with an eye for engagement and thought leadership
Writing, editing, and proofreading all social media content from a variety of stakeholders
Introducing new content types, including video and visually engaging formats
Managing, developing, and growing all social media channels to increase audience size, audience engagement, and conversions
Managing and optimizing social media calendar in alignment with HID's editorial and content calendars
Serving as resident expert and primary point of contact for social media management platform
Managing and growing corporate social advocacy program for company subject matter experts and executives
Maintaining a consistent brand voice across platforms for all social media content
Overseeing all social media content aligns with brand standards and guidelines
Serving as brand ambassador and representative of HID by engaging social media followers, answering questions and routing inquiries to other teams and functions
Setting performance goals, measuring, and reporting on related KPIs to establish benchmarks and drive future social campaigns and strategies
Remaining updated on platform improvements and new offerings in the social media space
Taking HID's social media program to new heights and stand out from the competition
