Senior Lifestyle Producer
to help lead content strategy and daily execution for our lifestyle programming, including Arizona Midday, while also supporting the coordination and production of key community initiatives and station integrations. This is a high-impact role for a producer who can bring a vision for lifestyle content, elevate daily show execution, and collaborate across News, Marketing, Sales, and Community Partnerships to maximize audience connection and sponsor success. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader and creative thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, stays calm under deadline, and delivers compelling storytelling that reflects the voice of Phoenix and the mission of 12News.
Responsibilities
Produce engaging, high-quality daily lifestyle segments that connect the Phoenix community to local businesses, organizations, events, and causes.
Lead show planning and execution, including rundowns, segment timing, scripts, and daily editorial decisions.
Bring creative vision and strong storytelling instincts to consistently elevate the show’s look, feel, pacing, and relevance.
Collaborate with hosts, lifestyle team members to produce segments with clarity, authenticity, and strong visuals.
Write and edit content for broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms as needed.
Work closely with the Sales team, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure lifestyle segments meet client expectations while maintaining strong production quality and audience engagement.
Coordinate logistical production needs for sponsored segments, including communication, scheduling, scripts, and segment execution.
Support a consistent and repeatable workflow that helps drive client retention and long-term partnerships.
Assist in planning and producing major station-led community initiatives and integrations such as Turkey Tuesday, Summer of a Million Meals, and other community-driven franchises.
Coordinate across departments to support on‑air and digital execution for community partnerships, promotions, and station integration opportunities.
Identify creative community tie‑in ideas that translate into meaningful storytelling and measurable impact.
Maintain a strong digital presence: write and post daily content for web and social platforms and support the weekly e‑newsletter as assigned.
Use audience data and analytics to inform content decisions and improve viewer connection.
Ensure all stories are web‑ready with supporting visuals, clips, and digital elements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 3+ years producing experience preferred (lifestyle, entertainment, news, or similar format).
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects, calendars, and deadlines with accuracy and urgency.
Strong editorial judgment, creativity, and storytelling ability.
Highly organized and solutions‑oriented; able to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across News, Sales, Marketing, and community partners.
Experience with rundown software (ENPS preferred).
Editing experience strongly preferred.
