Woodland Group are seeking a full time Customs Entry Writer for our Brokerage in Garden City, New York. Key responsibilities for the Customs Entry Writer include customs brokerage and account specific import freight forwarding. You will need to have in-depth knowledge of customs and other government agencies and previous hands-on industry experience with a customs house broker / international forwarder and Cargowise software. 100% office-based Position duties and responsibilities

Processing of US Customs entries in accordance with US Customs and all other government agencies. Must maintain account information according to client requirements, change in contact, special instructions and any other additional or revised specific requirements. Review entry documents for accuracy and provide feedback to appropriate parties if anything is missing or incomplete. Process and submit entries as required by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Submit required information to any applicable Participating Government Agencies (PGAs). Provide clearance status as needed to the appropriate parties. Communicate with CBP and PGAs as needed to facilitate the release of the shipment. HTS Classification of import goods. Must have knowledge of ISF filing 10+2. Requirements

Working knowledge of OGA's - FDA, USDA, FWS, EPA. Entry writing and Freight Forwarding industry experience minimum 3+ years. Position requires working directly with customs, other government agencies, carriers, customers, vendors and all related parties concerning the import process. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written). Highly organized and detail-oriented. Must have Cargowise experience. Well organized, friendly and enthusiastic. Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through skills essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and time-management skills. Ability to multi-task and solve problems. Ability to work in a fast paced and team environment. Values and culture
