Account Representative

The Account Representative will be responsible for managing key customer accounts, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the specialty metals sector, with a focus on strip line products. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, material specifications, and customer application needs. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, ensuring exceptional service and responsiveness. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers in the specialty metals industry, particularly those using strip line products. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure customer requirements are met accurately and on time. Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and contract negotiations tailored to customer specifications and business goals. Monitor market trends, customer forecasts, and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities. Manage order entry, tracking, and fulfillment processes to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly, coordinating with internal teams to implement corrective actions. Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers, including guidance on material selection and application. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and forecasts using CRM tools. Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing customer feedback and participating in cross-functional projects. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Associates degree in relevant field. Minimum 2 years experience in account management - manufacturing environment preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal staff and external partners. Skilled at managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Adaptable and flexible, while maintaining focus on routine responsibilities. Strong organizational and analytical thinking abilities. Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take initiative when needed. Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with professionalism. The Account Representative must also be able to do the following: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive and substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures and viewing a computer. Work in an office area with low noise rating as well as make visits to the production area with moderate to high noise. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.
