About the Role

The Executive Director - Market + Liquidity Risk Manager will be responsible for leading the market and liquidity risk function for a growing broker-dealer/investment banking platform, partnering closely with senior leadership and front-office stakeholders. Monitor portfolio risk across fixed income, equities, and derivatives by identifying concentrations, sensitivities, and evolving exposures across trading desks, and communicate risk insights in a clear, actionable manner. Develop, enhance, and maintain quantitative risk frameworks and models, including VaR, stress testing, performance attribution, and liquidity metrics, while ensuring daily liquidity positioning and funding needs remain within internal limits and regulatory expectations. Oversee counterparty credit risk monitoring and reviews, provide recommendations to senior management, and design firm-wide and portfolio-level stress tests to support risk governance and strategic decision-making.

Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive risk management experience within an investment bank, broker-dealer, clearinghouse, prime brokerage, or similar financial services environment, with strong coverage across market, credit, counterparty, and liquidity risk. Demonstrated expertise in stress testing and quantitative risk management, with working knowledge of key liquidity concepts and measures such as LCR, NSFR, and ILST. Proven ability to engage directly with regulators and maintain a strong understanding of FINRA rules, margin methodology, and margin requirements. Strong technical skills are required, including hands-on capability with tools such as Python, SQL, and VBA, along with the ability to build scalable models, reporting, and risk infrastructure.
