About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to serve as a visionary, mission-driven leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to advance the organization's mission of building safe, affordable housing and strengthening communities. This role involves partnering with the Board of Directors to develop and execute long-range plans, budgets, and policies, as well as overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, fiscal controls, compliance, and audits. The Executive Director will also be tasked with directing daily operations, fostering staff leadership and development, and serving as the primary spokesperson and ambassador for the organization.
Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in business management, nonprofit administration, or a related field, with a master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 3 years' of experience in organizational leadership, financial management, and administrative operations, particularly in the nonprofit sector, is required. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have at least 4 years' of experience in construction management, affordable housing, or a proven track record of managing revenues of $15 million or more. Demonstrated experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations is essential, with a history of securing funding from diverse sources. The role demands a leader who can strengthen financial accountability, enhance operational systems, and expand community partnerships to achieve sustained organizational growth and improved housing outcomes for partner families.
