
Role Overview
The Solutions Enablement team aims to build effective, scalable, and cohesive HR solutions that minimize redundancy and deliver seamless data and insights for a better end-user experience. We partner with Centers of Excellence (COEs), such as Total Rewards, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Engagement & Volunteerism, to address business needs and provide harmonized technology, tools, and data that help COEs maximize their impact at GM.
The Solutions Consultant is a strategic partner responsible for driving the design, build, and rollout of integrated solutions that enable business outcomes. This role proactively identifies and shapes solution opportunities and ensures seamless delivery in partnership with the Implementation team and other stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR in large, global organizations and demonstrate deep empathy for COE complexity and demands. They will also be passionate about delivering user-centric, data-informed solutions that drive enterprise value.
Key Responsibilities COE Partnership & Functional Expertise
Build strong relationships and deep understanding of assigned COEs’ priorities, processes, and pain points
Serve as a trusted advisor to COE leaders
Meet regularly with COE contacts to stay aligned on needs and priorities
Translate business needs into clear, outcome-driven problem statements and prioritized use cases
Propose solution options that balance COE needs with enterprise scale and cohesion
Develop and maintain a solutions roadmap for each COE, facilitating regular reviews (e.g., MBRs, QBRs) for ongoing prioritization
Facilitate the development of go-to-market strategies for new solutions by ensuring robust rollout and adoption plans and supporting their buildouts, in partnership with the COEs
Drive integration and cohesion across HR offerings, in line with enterprise tech strategy
Solution Buildout & Rollout
Lead the end-to-end solution buildout and rollout process, ensuring cross-functional alignment (HR, Purchasing, IT, Finance) and timely delivery
Facilitate solutioning with Enablement teams, internal tech teams, data partners, and external vendors
Oversee development and delivery plans for new solution launches
Diagram the COE tech stack, including key integration points and data flows/storage
Partner with Implementation and relevant teams to ensure smooth handoff and execution
Ensure solutions are designed for user-centricity, scalability, and integration
Sourcing, Procurement & Vendor Management
Lead the sourcing and procurement process for HR solutions, partnering with COE, IT, and Purchasing
Manage vendor relationships, including evaluation, onboarding, and ongoing performance
Ensure solution requirements are clearly documented in business requirement documents (BRDs) and statements of work (SOWs)
Support the development and use of evaluation matrices/scorecards for solution selection
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement based on data and insights, in partnership with People Analytics
Support COE with defining and tracking key success metrics for solution adoption and business impact
Gather feedback from COEs and end users to inform enhancements
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, information systems, or related field
5+ years of experience in HR, HR technology, or business process consulting
Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and influence across functions
Experience leading solution design, rollout, and vendor management in a complex, matrixed environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
Excellent communication, facilitation, and change management skills
Familiarity with HR tech stacks, integration concepts, and data flows preferred
Compensation:
The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws.
The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as geography of the selected candidate.
The salary range for this role is $124,200 - $165,300. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
