**About the Role:** As the Technical Director, Advanced Consulting Group (ACG) – Life Team, you will be at the forefront of helping advisors and their clients navigate the increasingly complex world of life insurance, wealth transfer, and advanced estate and business planning.
Your expertise in tax rules impacting life insurance, business succession, executive benefits, and wealth transfer strategies enables financial professionals and other Nationwide partners to deliver real value to their clients — and drives growth across Nationwide’s life insurance business.For non–central Ohio candidates with the right skills, relocation is not required.Deep knowledge of the tax rules and planning applications involving life insurance (ILITs, split-interests trusts, buy-sell, executive benefits, split-dollar, premium finance, etc.) is required.Extensive experience in estate planning, business owner planning, and high-net-worth life insurance strategies is a significant plus. Experience working directly with financial professionals—including independent advisors, RIAs, BGAs, and producer groups—highly valued. Ability to deliver effective presentations in group settings, speak with partners 1-on-1, simplify complex planning concepts, and write authentically are critical skills for the role. Qualifications: Propel the growth of Nationwide’s life insurance products, with a focus on advanced planning strategies such as wealth transfer, ILIT funding, asset protection, business succession, executive benefits, and nonqualified planning applications. Speak at firm, broker/dealer, wholesaler, and industry events, showcasing your subject-matter expertise and Nationwide’s ability to be the partner of choice for advisors serving complex clients.Ability to create educational white papers, PowerPoint presentations, case studies, one-pagers, and other sales collateral on advanced planning and life insurance concepts — all aligned with Nationwide’s voice and compliance standards. **Experience:** Eight to 10 years of related experience in a combination of law, accounting or financial planning/sales.**Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:** Strong public speaking skills, persuasive writing skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Proven knowledge of business law, tax, accounting, sales or financial planning.
