We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Developer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain high-performance database systems that support mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in database architecture, query optimization, data modeling, and performance tuning, and works closely with application developers, data engineers, and stakeholders to ensure data reliability, security, and scalability.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Design, develop, and maintain complex relational database solutions
Create and optimize database schemas, tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, and functions
Analyze and improve database performance, scalability, and reliability
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across systems
Collaborate with application teams to design efficient data access patterns
Monitor database systems and proactively address performance or capacity issues
Document database designs, standards, and best practices
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in database development and design
Strong expertise in SQL and advanced query optimization
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
Experience with data modeling (logical and physical)
Strong understanding of transactions, indexing, locking, and concurrency
Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting complex database issues

Advanced SQL and database programming
Performance tuning and optimization
Data architecture and modeling
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
Hands-on experience using AI agents and assistants for software design, code generation, and refactoring.
Experience with spec-driven or contract-first development.
Ability to review AI-generated output for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
Experience with Git, JIRA, Confluence
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana
