Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing The Vice President, Commercial Strategy & Partnerships is a senior strategic leader responsible for driving Wheels Up’s commercial growth agenda. The role spans commercial strategy, market and customer insight, cross‑functional execution, partnership development, inorganic growth, and executive‑level storytelling. This leader will identify high‑impact growth opportunities, shape enterprise‑level initiatives, and align the organization around the priorities that expand market share, strengthen loyalty, and enhance long‑term competitiveness. The ideal candidate is a commercially minded strategist who excels at solving ambiguous problems, influencing at the highest levels, and converting strategy into visible business outcomes. Responsibilities

What You’ll Lead 1. Commercial Strategy You will own major cross‑commercial initiatives that define and advance Wheels Up’s growth trajectory. Strategic Opportunity Leadership Lead complex, high‑priority commercial initiatives from concept through execution. Define opportunity statements, structure strategic alternatives, and guide cross‑functional teams to recommended paths. Build business scenarios and outcome models that drive data‑backed decision‑making. Identify opportunities for market share expansion, revenue growth, customer loyalty improvements, and operational efficiency. Market, Customer & Competitive Insight Develop deep understanding of private aviation dynamics and competitor positioning. Embed customer insights into strategy by maintaining strong relationships with Sales, Service, and CX teams. Translate benchmarking and market intelligence into actionable implications for growth and innovation. Customer Segmentation & Growth Prioritization Lead segmentation work to identify the highest‑value and highest‑potential customer segments. Determine purchasing drivers, loyalty motivations, and segment‑specific opportunities. Convert insights into clear near‑term and long‑term commercial strategies. Go‑to‑Market Integration Ensure GTM plans across Marketing, Sales, Loyalty, and CX fully align with strategic priorities. Maintain line‑of‑sight from opportunity → strategy → execution → commercial outcomes. Performance Measurement & Analytics Define and track KPIs tied to growth, retention, segment performance, partnership returns, and campaign effectiveness. Partner with Finance to align budgets and forecasts with true market opportunity. Lead commercial performance reporting for the CGO, CEO, and Board. Business Model Innovation & Future Growth Identify new product, pricing, and commercial model opportunities that strengthen the company’s competitive position. Lead cross‑functional initiatives that convert strategic opportunities into measurable business results. Partner with the CGO on emerging revenue streams and long‑horizon growth pathways. 2. Executive Communication & Influence You will be the strategic storyteller and alignment leader across the commercial organization. Executive Storytelling Create compelling narratives that articulate commercial strategy, performance, and future direction to the Board and senior leadership. Lead development of executive‑ready materials including strategy documents, growth roadmaps, operational plans, and performance reviews. Enterprise Alignment & Leadership Translate the CGO’s strategic vision into clear operating plans, priorities, and expectations. Support quarterly and annual planning cycles, including objective‑setting, KPI development, and performance reviews. Ensure clarity and alignment across all commercial and cross‑functional teams. 3. Partnerships, Inorganic Growth & Lead Generation You will build the external relationships that accelerate growth, expand customer access, and deepen Wheels Up’s market presence. Inorganic Growth & Strategic Alliances Partner with the CGO to evaluate and execute acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances. Develop financial models and business cases to assess investment opportunities. Growth‑Accelerating Partnerships Identify and negotiate partnerships that extend reach, enhance offerings, or unlock new revenue channels. Build and grow UHNW lead‑generating relationships (e.g., private banks, wealth advisors, luxury brands, family offices, elite events). Ensure partnerships reinforce the Wheels Up brand and deliver measurable, sustained growth impact. Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do: 10-15+ years of experience in commercial strategy, partnerships, or corporate development, ideally within aviation, consulting, or other premium consumer sectors. Proven success translating market and customer insights into growth strategy and execution. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to achieve revenue and market share goals. Strong analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree required. Salary Range & Benefits At Wheels Up, we believe in fair compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The salary for this role ranges from $250,000 - $295,000, depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
