The Pack Labs
VP of Marketing Operations – Hemp Cannabinoid Brands (Remote)
The Pack Labs, Los Angeles, California, United States, 90079
Location: Remote (U.S.) | Occasional travel to California
Compensation: $170,000–$200,000 base + 15-20% performance-based bonus + full benefits.
The Pack Labs builds and scales category-leading consumer brands in the regulated wellness, hemp, and cannabinoid space. Our portfolio includes high-growth DTC brands like Delta Munchies and Imperial Extraction, and we’re entering our next phase of growth; one that requires discipline, operational excellence, and data-driven execution at every level.
This is not a creative marketing role.
This is an executive operator role.
We’re hiring a VP of Marketing Operations to build the systems, data, attribution, operating cadence, and organizational structure that will power 2–3 DTC brands through sustainable, profitable scale.
The Role As VP of Marketing Operations, you will own the full marketing operating system across all brands and channels. You’ll turn complex performance data into clear direction, create accountability across teams, and ensure marketing performance ties directly to revenue and margin outcomes.
You will report directly to the CEO and operate as a true executive partner, influencing company strategy and growth planning while building a predictable marketing engine that scales.
This role is for a proven DTC operator with firsthand experience taking a brand through meaningful scale, who leads through numbers, can roll up their sleeves early, and knows how to build the team and systems required for growth.
What You’ll Own You will own the entire marketing operations foundation across brands, including:
Centralizing and standardizing marketing data across all brands to create a single source of truth
Owning attribution, reporting, and performance visibility across all channels
Building and maintaining executive dashboards for CAC, LTV, MER, contribution margin, and cohorts
Translating performance data into clear priorities, decisions, and next actions for teams
Defining channel ownership, KPIs, and SOPs across paid, lifecycle, organic, and partnerships
Establishing the operating rhythm for testing, reporting, and scaling
Designing the future marketing org structure (what to hire, when, and why)
Rolling up your sleeves early to build systems, then delegating as the machine matures
Partnering closely with Sales and Finance on forecasting, growth planning, and revenue alignment
Serving as the executive owner of marketing performance tied directly to revenue and margin outcomes
Marketing will no longer be a black box; it will be a measurable, predictable growth engine.
What You Bring
8 -12 years of experience in marketing operations, growth, or performance leadership
Proven experience scaling at least one DTC brand through meaningful growth and complexity
Deep comfort with numbers, unit economics, and contribution margin
Strong data fluency with dashboards, cohorts, forecasting, and attribution
Experience building systems, workflows, and reporting frameworks from scratch
Ability to operate hands-on early, then scale through systems and teams
Experience in regulated or restricted categories (cannabis, alcohol, supplements, etc.) is a major plus
Working expertise across DTC platforms and tools including Meta, Google Ads, GA4, Looker, Klaviyo, and Shopify
You do not need to be a channel specialist.
You do need to understand what the numbers are telling you and turn that into clear execution.
Why Join The Pack Labs
Build the marketing foundation for multiple high-growth brands
Report directly to the CEO and influence company-wide strategy
Solve complex problems in a fast-growing, regulated industry
Remote-first with purposeful travel
Performance-based bonus tied to business outcomes
Unlimited PTO, 401(k), and comprehensive health coverage
