The Senior Event Sales Manager for Gramercy Tavern and Union Square Cafe leads the success of events sold and executed across both restaurants. This role oversees the sales team, ensuring operational excellence, strong communication, and a consistently elevated guest experience aligned with USHG’s values. The Senior Manager partners closely with restaurant operators and cross‑functional teams to optimize guest experience, drive revenue, and uphold service integrity. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands‑on leader with strong operational judgment, clear communication skills, and a calm, solutions‑oriented approach. This is an in‑person role reporting to the Director of Events at USHG. What you’ll do
Cultivate a culture of Enlightened Hospitality for all stakeholders that supports our business objectives and growth Lead the event sales program end to end, organizing workflows, systems, and team efforts to deliver exceptional guest experiences while driving revenue and operational excellence. Mentor and support the event sales team to achieve performance goals and grow professionally; one Event Sales Manager will report to this role. Own client from inquiry through execution, responding promptly, preparing proposals and contracts, hosting site visits, and ensuring clear, accurate communication and pricing. Strategically manage the event calendar to maximize revenue and occupancy while supporting seamless, hospitable operations. Serve as the voice of the client internally, ensuring alignment across teams so what is sold is exactly what is executed—creating consistent, rave‑worthy experiences. Partner with the Director of Events to set, track, and achieve financial goals, overseeing planning and logistics (BEOs, timelines, vendors, on‑site execution) and building actionable plans for continued success. Proven leadership experience in event sales or hospitality management Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining a warm, team‑oriented approach Strategic thinking with attention to detail and a focus on guest experience Passion for mentorship, continuous improvement, and operational excellence Open availability and comfort fully working in‑person across multiple locations A genuine passion for hospitality and creating meaningful experiences What you’ll get from us
