Your role and responsibilities The SAP AVC Lead will oversee the creation and maintenance of AVC models, including characteristics, classes, constraints, rules, and pricing. This role will collaborate with product engineering, sales, manufacturing, and IT teams to understand configuration requirements and translate them into robust system solutions. The Lead will define and enforce configuration governance, ensure alignment with master data and product structures, and support integration with upstream and downstream processes such as order management, production planning, and variant BOMs. Additional responsibilities include supporting testing cycles, resolving system defects, documenting configuration logic, and driving continuous improvement to enhance model performance and user experience.

Required technical and professional expertise
Hands-on experience with SAP Advanced Variant Configuration, including model creation and rules development
Strong knowledge of product configuration processes and configurable product structures
Experience integrating AVC with SAP SD, PP, MM, and related modules
Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed configuration logic
Familiarity with variant BOMs, variant pricing, and classification systems
Experience supporting system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
Strong communication skills for working with product engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams
Ability to manage configuration governance and maintain high-quality, scalable models
