Full-Time
Company Introduction
This position is with a Cleveland-area based general contractor and developer that delivers commercial and multifamily construction projects throughout Northeast Ohio. The company operates as a hands‑on builder, self-performing work and managing projects directly rather than acting as an owners representative or consulting firm.
The organization focuses on ground‑up commercial construction, tenant improvements, and large‑scale multifamily developments. With a lean structure and strong local presence, the company emphasizes accountability, quality execution, and long‑term relationships. Team members are given meaningful responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to grow as the business continues to scale.
Role Overview
The Superintendent is responsible for leading all on‑site construction activities for commercial and multifamily projects from start to finish. This role owns field execution, including safety, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, inspections, and quality control.
The Superintendent works closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects are executed according to plan, while independently managing day‑to‑day site operations. This position requires a hands‑on leader who can run jobs with minimal oversight, maintain strong control of site logistics, and hold subcontractors accountable to schedule and quality expectations.
Ideal candidates are experienced field leaders who take pride in ownership of their projects and are comfortable being the primary authority on‑site.
Core Responsibilities
Lead on‑site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout
Manage daily site operations, sequencing, and coordination of subcontractors
Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with site‑specific safety plans

Oversee site logistics, material deliveries, and equipment usage
Review drawings and plans to ensure proper field execution
Identify and resolve constructibility and field issues proactively
Maintain quality control standards throughout all phases of construction
Lead punch list completion and turnover activities during closeout
Required Background
8 to 20 years of total construction experience
Minimum of 5 years in a Superintendent role running projects start to finish
Experience leading commercial ground‑up and tenant build‑out projects in the $1M to $10M range
Experience on ground‑up multifamily projects in the ~$30M range is a strong plus
Proven ability to independently run job sites with minimal oversight
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and site logistics
Ability to effectively lead subcontractors, inspectors, and field crews
Strong communication skills and confidence serving as the on‑site authority
Ability to work on‑site across the Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio market
Base salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 depending on experience
Vehicle or vehicle allowance

Stable local project work with no extensive travel
