Overview The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of literacy about the assigned business units' financial position, its current and future plans, its culture, and its competition.

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Leadership, Business Communications, or a related field required.

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credential or ability to obtain certification, within one year of employment

Job Responsibilities

Conducts regular meetings with respective business units to provide consultation and guidance relative to people and performance management, policy interpretation, restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.

Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.

Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.

Assist in the development and implementation of HR processes and policies.

Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.

Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention, often requiring flexibility to accommodate all shifts.

Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.

Manages the hiring process for internal job openings within their segment.

Serve as a coach and mentor to less-experienced staff in the department.

Perform other duties as requested by management.

Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.

Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Fast paced office environment within a manufacturing facility.

Long hours and occasional weekend work as job duties demand.

Will meet with employees, as necessary, on the production floors of all plants.

Daily cross-plant travel, some out-of-area, requiring personal vehicle use.

Must be able to access all areas of operation, including second floors.

Significant amount of time spent at desk working on the computer and telephone.
