Overview

We are hiring a full-time Mold Maker to join our team in Batesville, MS. This on-site role involves designing, manufacturing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing molds used for production processes. The Mold Maker will interpret blueprints, utilize CAM/CAD software, operate various machining and measurement tools, ensure precision and quality, and collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines. The individual will also perform troubleshooting and regular maintenance to ensure optimal mold functionality and efficiency. Responsibilities

Interpret blueprints and drawings to determine mold design requirements. Design, manufacture, assemble, maintain, and repair molds used for production processes. Operate and set up machining and measurement tools and CAM/CAD software. Ensure precision, quality, and dimensional accuracy in molds and components. Troubleshoot mold processing issues and perform regular maintenance to maximize functionality and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines. Required Skills

Maintain and support BTD Quality Program standards Experience in a job shop environment Strong understanding of GD&T Knowledge of various mold designs and mold construction Proficiency in CNC Mill, Wire EDM, and EDM Die Sinker methods Knowledge of grinding, welding, polishing, and finishing methods Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers) and shop math Ability to set up, measure, inspect, and polish own work Ability to build electrodes and troubleshoot mold processing issues Skilled in disassembling, reassembling, timing, and modifying complex molds Identify and implement mold construction improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and production capability Preferred Skills

CAD/CAM experience. SolidWorks and Power Mill Familiarity with quality principles, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement techniques. Technical school certified. Proficient in the use of the cut-off wheel, grinding wheel selection, and grind-to-length operation of ejector pins, core pins, and other miscellaneous parts. Proficient knowledge of basic tool steels: 0-1, S-7, A-2, D-2, H-13, 420SS, P-20, NAK 55, NAK 80, Beryllium alloys.
