Responsibilities
Perform preliminary property screenings, market analysis, comparable rent surveys, and demand analysis.
Perform interviews with property managers of market/LIHTC/subsidized properties to gather property specific information and general market conditions.
Gather information of new developments in the area by speaking to developers, government agencies such as Planners, and extensive online research.
Find subsidized, tax credit and market rate comparables.
Perform interviews with local housing authorities, planners, developers, chamber of commerce to identify problems and understand demand in the market.
Analyze economic trends which include unemployment, average wages, median incomes of market area and relation to demand of affordable housing area.
Analyze demographic information of market area and its relation to affordable housing.
Assist in performing Rent Comparability Studies by HUD guidelines
Assist in performing Market Studies according to state guidelines
Some travel is required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; preferably Business with concentration in Real Estate
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Must be a self-starter
Proficient and accurate computer skills using Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to travel as needed
