You're the brains behind our work. Citi is looking to recruit Summer Analysts for the Global Strategy and Macro group (GSMG) in New York. The program provides training and development to help you grow within Citi, with a focus on growth, internal mobility, and long-term career opportunities. GSMG research analysts work with institutional clients to identify alpha generation opportunities, deliver innovative analysis, identify emerging trends, and provide high-quality investment insights with independence and objectivity. Your time here will look something like this
Summer Analysts assist senior strategists in analyzing market-moving trends and building relative value models. By the end of the Analyst Program, participants will have: Developed a thorough understanding of financial markets Ability to identify and analyze trends in the fixed-income and commodities markets to produce cutting-edge research and actionable trading recommendations Learned to collect, outline, and explain information to drive creative solutions in the macro environment and provide insights to help clients make investment decisions Developed relationships with Citi clients and our sales and trading partners We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed
Citi Research plays a vital role within the firm by generating market insight and helping clients navigate volatility and generate alpha through relative value analysis. The program starts in the summer of 2025 with orientation and training and offers exposure to our Fixed Income, Currency, Commodity, and Equity franchises. Summer Analysts gain exposure to senior professionals who will mentor them throughout the program. We want to hear from you if
You have a GPA of 3.3 or above You are obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (excluding MBA), majoring in Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field You are graduating between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 You have excellent mathematical and/or programming skills You communicate clearly and effectively Who we think will be a great fit
