The

Hybrid Mortgage Representative

is an

experienced consumer-facing sales position

responsible for driving mortgage sales and client relationships through engagement with community clients, diverse real estate agents, and affordable housing non-profit partners in coordination with Strategic Markets lending. The role is directly responsible for the sale of mortgage products directly to clients. Responsibilities

Serve in a hybrid (in-market/in call center) functionality, engaging in community business development and activities in partnership with Strategic Markets business development officers to drive mortgage opportunity and lending. Drive business opportunity by working with community leaders, realtors, developers, employers, builders and other potential lead sources to build book of business. Present locally on Citi’s mortgage products, including at consumer events such as homeownership seminars to realtors / builders during in-office presentations and lunch-n-learns, by example. Participate in diverse realtor organization events, chambers of commerce and other business groups to drive mortgage opportunity and build book of business. Partner with Business Development Officer to build go-to-market strategy and partnership to achieve local market goals. Consult with customers about their financial situation, financial and personal objectives and lending needs for the purpose of helping them achieve their home ownership goals. Collect and analyze information about the customer's financial situation, financial and personal goals, tolerance for risk and change, plans for the future, income, assets, debts, cash flow, and credit history. Analyze financial information for customers to make an initial assessment regarding whether the customer and the property may qualify for a particular lending solution. Make recommendations to customers about which lending solutions would best meet the customer’s financial and personal objectives. Advise customers about the consequences, risks, and benefits of alternative lending solutions. Promote Citi's brand, and promote Citi as the provider for lending and other financial solutions to real estate agencies, builders, other referral sources, and customers. Work as a team with all internal partners to support and grow our customers. Refer customers who seek financial services other than lending solutions to the appropriate Citi professionals. Partner with Operations teams to ensure the seamless transfer of the loan application and to obtain any additional information needed by Processors and Underwriters. Work with Processors/Closers and customers to ensure the timely closing of the customer's loan. Assess risk when business decisions are made, safeguarding Citi’s reputation and assets by driving compliance with laws and regulations, applying ethical judgment, and escalating control issues when needed. Keep abreast of trends in the local marketplace and changing industry regulations; expand internal and external networks to better serve clients and professionals. Attend a minimum of 2 – 3 Diverse Realtor and/or affordable housing nonprofit events per quarter. Qualifications

Experience with community loan products including specialized LMI mortgage solutions, lender paid assistance programs, third-party assistance programs. 5+ years of previous mortgage sales experience. Expertise in general lending products and the mortgage industry, including FHA/VA & conventional. Demonstrated customer service skills. Ability to speak, read, write and present in both Spanish and English (required). Ability to comprehend and explain financial calculations and pricing alternatives. Ability to communicate with customers about the proper documents and information needed to obtain a loan. Knowledge of laws and regulations that govern consumer lending, including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA. Self-motivated and able to work independently to build business opportunities with local community leaders, realtors, builders and other sources. Strong relationship development, management skills and emotional intelligence. This position requires the employee to register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) and obtain a unique identifier from the Registry before engaging in mortgage loan originator activities. System and Registry requirements: obtain a unique identifier and maintain registration as required by SAFE Act regulations and Citi policies. Education

Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience Travel

25% of the time (1 week/month) This position requires registration as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) and obtaining a unique identifier before engaging in mortgage loan originator activities. Fingerprinting is required unless fingerprints are already on file with NMLS that are less than 3 years old. Registration must be renewed annually, information updated promptly, and the unique identifier provided to consumers as required by SAFE Act regulations and Citi policies.
