
Our client located in Queens is looking to hire a Human Resources Specialist on a direct hire basis. The company has been around for decades and is looking to add to staff. The role will be a hybrid role so a few days in the office and a few days from home.
Overview JOB TITLE: Human Resources Specialist
SUMMARY:
HR specialist will spearhead the recruitment process, helping to find qualified job candidates, recruit applicants, review resumes, conduct interviews, and perform background checks. HR specialists will also perform onboarding activities, orienting new employees on organizational policies, procedures, benefits, and training.
Responsibilities
Work closely with HR Director and hiring managers to define recruitment needs and plan the hiring
Source qualified applicants using ATS and/or social
Screen resumes and interview candidates for all positions within the organization.
Interview candidates at various stages of the hiring process (phone screening calls, video interviews and in-person interviews).
Manage background and reference
Manage all communication with candidates from application through
Conduct new hire onboarding, ensuring process is engaging and that the processes are followed and
Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleges and local organizations to participate in job fairs or networking
Prepare attracting hiring packages and communicate with selected applicants to offer
Create offer letters, maintain applicant tracking system, recruiting reports and other staffing administration functions as
Track recruitment KPI’s (time to hire, source of hire, time to fill).
Assist with managing employee relations and related
Assist with employee compensation, benefits, and
Assist with all HR related administration functions.
Qualifications
Work experience as an in-house
Familiarity with full cycle recruitment.
Hands on experience with recruitment software and applicant tracking
Excellent analytical skills to track metrics and interpret data for strategic recruiting
Strong communication skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet/social
Availability to travel within the United
Strong knowledge of an Affirmative Action
Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness, and the ability to maintain a high level of
Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent work
Salary is based upon experience but the target is $70k-75k plus profit sharing and a complete benefits package.
