
About The Role
Come join the Layton Hills Retail Team, located at 1601 N. Hill Field Rd in Layton, UT! The Personal Banker will process various transactions, handle customer requests and provide excellent customer service that meets or exceeds service expectations, while adhering to all banking rules, regulations, policies, procedures, laws, mandates, bank values, and purpose. The Personal Banker will act as a back-up proficient in branch operations, audit requirements, open various new accounts, loans, and educate customers of products to gain their banking relationship. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Satisfactorily perform all Teller 1 - 3 duties and responsibilities, and provide backup to tellers upon request. Perform a wide variety of teller transactions, including but not limited to cashing checks, processing withdrawals and deposits, accepting loan and credit card payments, change orders, and issuance of checks. Open basic new accounts (Personal and small Business), process necessary information and educate customers as to services/products available, online banking and E-statements. Conduct non-transactional requests within assigned parameters, such as customer inquiries, maintenance, Net-Teller, debit card requests, order checks, opening/closing accounts, and maintaining Safe Deposit Boxes. Assist with a wide variety of customer banking needs such as managing outgoing domestic wires and resolving fraud issues. Assist customers with opening CDs and educate customers as to penalties, earnings, etc. Set up auto transfers and sign up customers for ACH transfers. Utilize every customer contact as an opportunity to advise on additional services or programs that might benefit them. Have a solid understanding of bank products and services and be able to accurately present them to current or potential customers. Balance cash drawer accurately and maintain cash limits daily. Professionally answer phones in a timely manner, greet customers, learn their names, resolve customer issues, provide relevant assistance, and escalate as needed. Maintain customer, employee, and bank information privacy and confidentiality. Be vigilant for fraud that could adversely affect the bank and customers, and report security risks to management.
