1-3 years of experience with commerical HVAC maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, etc (or recent graduate with HVAC classes).
1 year of experience with commercial estimation for HVAC sales and installations (or recent graduate with estimation classes).
Ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
Ability to perform equipment takeoffs.
Basic ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with On-Screen Takeoff or Bluebeam (preferred).

Insight Global is looking for an Estimator to join a large client in the HVAC resale and installation industry. This person will be working on projects assigned to them daily. They will be a takeoff by going through a set of plans and making a list of all materials that they would need to quote for their projects. Then they will price them out by going into their software tool to create a proposal of what the cost will look like so they can put a sell price together. The Estimator will prepare accurate mechanical equipment cost estimates for HVAC construction projects. This position is responsible for the estimating and bid process, from review of plans and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, pricing and creating scope of work. Position Responsibilities
Interpret mechanical plans and specifications to develop equipment cost estimates. Utilize estimating programs, pricing tools, and vendor quotes to quantify materials and equipment to prepare
detailed and accurate bids. Research mechanical systems and equipment using variety of resources. Maintain accuracy and meet deadlines Perform additional duties as assigned. Report directly to the Estimating Manager. This opportunity is a direct hire through the end client. The salary ranges from $42,000-$55,000 annually based on experience and skillset.
