Senior Middle Office Analyst – Insurance Operations We are seeking a
Senior Middle Office Analyst – Insurance Operations
to play a key role in the end-to-end management of
credit insurance
within complex financing transactions. This position requires strong technical expertise, autonomy, and the ability to act as a reference point for insurance-related matters across Front Office, Operations, and external partners.
End-to-end insurance ownership
Act as the senior subject matter expert for credit insurance across all relevant transactions, from pre-closing review (when applicable) through booking, payment, and ongoing monitoring.
Independently calculate, review, and validate insurance premiums based on credit agreements and insurance certificates, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
System booking & oversight
Book, monitor, and reconcile insurance-related transactions in core loan systems (e.g. Loan IQ), with a strong focus on data integrity and control.
Documentation & legal review
Perform in-depth reviews of insurance policies and related legal documentation, interpret insurance clauses, and ensure correct operational implementation.
Pre-funding & settlement controls
Validate insurance calculations prior to funding and coordinate initial deposits or premium payments to brokers.
Senior stakeholder coordination
Act as a key point of contact for Front Office teams, Operations management, and external brokers on all insurance-related topics.
Monitor insurance covenants and reporting requirements, proactively identify operational or compliance risks, and elevate issues with clear recommendations.
Process improvement & best practices
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, contribute to the standardization of insurance processes, and share best practices within the Middle Office team.
Profile & Qualifications
5+ years of experience
in commercial lending, asset finance, or middle office operations within a banking or financial services environment
Strong and proven experience handling
insurance components within financing transactions
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
Solid working knowledge of loan and payment systems (e.g.
Loan IQ , Cash Plus, FBTI or equivalent)
Strong Excel skills; comfortable producing structured analyses and presentations
Very good understanding of financial statements and ability to analyze and interpret financial ratios
Highly autonomous, detail-oriented, and comfortable acting as a senior reference in a fast-paced environment
