Overview

The Cybersecurity Analyst (Level 2) will split their work between software engineering and cybersecurity. They will design and maintain automation, tools, and integrations for security operations, enhance secure coding practices, and implement security controls in CI/CD pipelines. They will also lead monitoring, vulnerability management, system hardening, and compliance tasks, collaborating with IT and development teams to improve security posture.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain advanced scripts, tools, and automation for security tasks.

Contribute to and review secure software projects. Integrate static analysis, dependency scanning, and secrets detection into CI/CD.

Monitor and investigate SIEM/EDR alerts, perform and track vulnerability scans, apply security baselines, and enforce access controls.

Support compliance initiatives (NIST 800-171, 800-53, FedRAMP) and assist in incident response.

Qualifications

Bachelors in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

2+ years in software development, DevSecOps, or cybersecurity.

Proficient in one or more languages (Python, C#, Java, or C++).

Experienced with Git, secure coding, CI/CD, networking, Windows/Linux, and security tools (EDR, SIEM, scanners).

Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP).

CompTIA Security+ required; CySA+, CASP+, or equivalent preferred.

U.S. citizen with active or obtainable Secret clearance.
