The Purchase Specialist is responsible for managing procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality acquisition of materials, components, and services required for company operations. This role focuses on sourcing electronic components, mechanical parts, and related materials from global suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards and international trade regulations. Ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience to:
Responsibilities
Handle purchasing of electronic components, mechanical parts, and consumables for manufacturing and repair operations.
Issue and manage purchase orders through ERP systems, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers, including those in Asia and North America.
Evaluate supplier performance on quality, cost, and delivery; implement corrective actions when needed.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
Monitor market trends for electronic components and raw materials to identify cost optimization opportunities.
Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, ISO standards, and international trade regulations.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements in compliance with audit requirements.
Work closely with production, engineering, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement with operational needs.
Support inventory management and demand planning to avoid shortages or excess stock.
Requirements and Qualifications
Approximately
3–5 years of RECENT experience
in Purchasing, Buying, or Manufacturing Supply Chain and knowledge of international trade regulations, import/export processes, and customs compliance.
Bachelors degree or above
Currently based in DFW and Committed to long-term
full‑time employment
Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP or similar) and MS Office applications -
Excel
analysis tools such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables required.
Industry or Category Experience (Preferred)
Must be fluent in English required ; Mandarin/Chinese is a plus
Must have
valid U.S. authorization for full-time employment , no visa sponsorship available
Must have good attention to detail and accuracy, able work under pressure and meet deadlines, have strong organizational and multitasking skills and cultural awareness and ability to work with international teams.
May require flexible hours to coordinate with international suppliers in different time zones and some minimal travel (domestic and international) may be required.
Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred for supplier coordination.
