Position Overview: The Automotive Used Car Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the used car department at Subaru Of Rockwall. This role involves managing a team of sales professionals, implementing effective sales strategies, maintaining inventory, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maximizing profitability in the used car department.

Responsibilities

Sales Management

Lead, mentor, and motivate the used car sales team to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to attract customers and promote used car sales.

Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Inventory Management

Manage the procurement and inventory of used cars, ensuring a diverse selection that meets customer demands.

Monitor market trends and demand to make informed decisions about pricing, vehicle acquisition, and inventory mix.

Collaborate with the dealership's acquisition channels, such as trade-ins, auctions, and direct purchases.

Quality Assurance

Ensure that all used cars meet quality and safety standards before being presented for sale.

Oversee reconditioning and detailing processes to enhance the appearance and value of used cars.

Conduct thorough inspections of trade-ins and purchased vehicles, addressing any maintenance or repair needs.

Customer Satisfaction

Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.

Ensure that customers receive accurate and transparent information about used cars, pricing, and financing options.

Implement processes to gather feedback and reviews, using them to improve customer satisfaction and dealership reputation.

Financial Management

Set pricing strategies for used cars based on market conditions, acquisition costs, and desired profit margins.

Monitor expenses related to the used car department, such as reconditioning, advertising, and personnel costs, to ensure profitability.

Prepare regular financial reports for dealership management, summarizing sales performance and financial metrics.

Qualifications And Requirements

Several years of experience in automotive sales, with a focus on used cars.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry, including market trends and pricing strategies.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.

Proficiency in using sales and inventory management software.

Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Valid driver's license.
