
Senior Analyst / Analyst - Portfolio Operations

Blackford Capital is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Portfolio Operations team. The Senior Analyst will help execute post-close 100-day integration plans, financial analysis and portfolio performance monitoring, operational improvements, and project execution. In this role, the Senior Analyst will gain exposure to private equity operations, portfolio management, cross-functional collaboration with management teams, and play an integral role in driving performance across portfolio companies.
Execute gathering, tracking, and analyzing monthly financial reporting packages, KPIs, and operational data across the portfolio companies
Partner with portfolio company management teams to execute 100-day integration plans, onboarding and implementation of Blackford processes (Example: Implementation of standardized monthly financial reporting package, Board mobilization and onboarding), value creation playbooks and workshops, and ongoing operational improvement efforts (Example: indirect procurement spend analysis and implementation)
Coordinate data collection, benchmarking, financial updates, and content preparation related to portfolio company annual operating plans, C-Suite summits, and investor conferences.
Collaborate and partner with the internal Blackford team (e.g., Leadership Team, Deal Team, Investor Relations Team, Operating Partners) to execute cross-functional Portfolio Operations processes, such as investor requests and LP reports.
Participate in and lead key internal Blackford portfolio company review meeting updates.
Conduct market, competitor, and operational research to support new initiatives and strategic reviews.
Maintain and improve internal Blackford processes, playbooks, and tools used by the Portfolio Operations team.
3 – 5 years’ experience in private equity, management consulting, corporate development or strategic planning.
Bachelor’s degree required in finance or accounting, with strong academic performance.
Prior experience in manufacturing, industrials, or business services preferred.
Strong financial planning, reporting, and analysis experience; understanding of financial statements and 13-week cash flow forecasting.
Experience building relationships and presenting to Executive Leadership Teams.
Experience leading projects to improve financial or operational performance within an organization, such as re-designing back-office processes, streamlining operational costs, implementing new systems, or redesigning operating models.
Knowledge of business growth strategy and the risk/return characteristics of private equity investment opportunities.
Highly analytical and quantitative capabilities; familiarity with financial statements.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Adaptable and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBi / Tableau, and data analytics.
