The Vice President of Marketing and Client Communications is a strategic leader responsible for elevating the firm’s brand, deepening client engagement, and driving growth through integrated marketing and communication strategies. This role is pivotal in shaping how the firm communicates its value proposition while ensuring a consistent and personalized client experience across all touchpoints.
What You Will Do
Strategic Marketing Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the firm’s business goals, client segmentation, and growth objectives. Lead brand strategy and ensure consistent messaging across all channels, including digital, presentations, events, and advisor communications. Oversee digital marketing efforts including websites, SEO/SEM, social media, email campaigns, and analytics.
Client Communications & Experience:
Lead the creation of high-quality content that reflects the firm’s investment philosophy, market insights, and client-centric approach. Partner with the Director of Client Experience to maintain our library of templates, client education presentations and white papers, pitch decks, and other related materials. Collaborate with advisors, client service teams, and other functional leaders to develop a communication calendar that delivers consistent communication that is timely, relevant, and promotes engagement. Assist with the development of tailored content such as newsletters, market commentary, or event communications to meet various client needs and preferences.
Internal Communications:
Own all corporate communications processes and calendars to ensure consistent messaging and strategic communication flow across the firm. Develop and implement internal communication strategies that align with organizational goals and enhance employee engagement. Coordinate communication plans for organizational changes, initiatives, and events to ensure transparency and alignment. Coordinate the planning, agenda management, and execution of town halls, all company meetings, and other related internal events. Own the management of the firm’s website and internal intranets including content updates, adding new team members, and maintaining design standards. Supervise the firm’s social media presence including content generation, auditing employee LinkedIn profiles, and approving employee-generated content. Support the planning, promotion, and execution of client-facing and advisor-facing events, including conferences, webinars, and appreciation events. Own the communications process including event advertisements, invitations, and other pre-event materials. Own the vendor coordination and logistics planning for each event to ensure an exceptional experience for all attendees and budget adherence. Develop protocols for tracking participation, engagement, and evaluating total ROI for each event. Support the integration of new advisors and firms onto our platform by crafting a tailored PR and communications strategy. This includes the development of tailored marketing materials, social media and website announcements, and curating presentations to support their initial business development efforts.
Vendor Relationship Management:
Drive relationships with third party partners, including marketing & PR firms, graphic designers, and other key vendors. Develop menu of recommended venues and event types that can be leveraged by advisors to deepen their client relationships. Develop key metrics to evaluate effectiveness and leverage for negotiations to ensure we are receiving optimal pricing for the scope of services provided. Establish KPIs to measure marketing effectiveness, client engagement, and brand awareness. Use insights to continuously refine strategies and improve outcomes.
