That’s the Danbury Difference. We are currently seeking applicants for a Dining Manager/Hostess position. Hours between 7am-7pm. Responsibilities
Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment. Develop and maintain a good working rapport with all community staff to ensure dining service meets residents’ needs. Serve as liaison with the chef/cook and dining servers. Ensure department staff, residents, visitors, etc., follow established policies and procedures at all times. Assist dining servers; take orders as necessary. Take reservations. Greet and seat residents and guests. Assure correct appearance of dining room: cleanliness and setup. Record menus of residents on meal tickets. Monitor and assist in serving meals on a timely basis. Monitor and assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties per policies and procedures. Assist chef/cook in preparing meals as directed. Monitor and assist in checking diet trays before distribution. Monitor and assist in food preparation for special meals, parties, etc. Maintain care and use of supplies, equipment, and the appearance of work areas; perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of duties. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Executive Director. Qualifications
Experience in Dining Management preferred. Dining experience in senior living, assisted living or similar setting required. Ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, visitors, government agencies and the public. Supportive team member; contribute to and exemplify teamwork. Ability and willingness to work harmoniously with others; patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm. Maintain care and use of supplies, equipment, and appearance of work areas; inspect food service areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of duties.
