Responsibilities – Sales Consultant

Greet customers in a friendly manner and listen to their requirements to match their vehicle needs with current inventory

Accompany customers on test drives and demonstrate vehicle features and technology, describing all optional equipment available for purchase

Build rapport with customers to establish a base of referrals

Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers

Learn to overcome objections and thrive within sales situations

Work the internet, phone and personal leads to convert them into auto sales

Report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives and ideas and introduce them to the customer

Utilize dealership sales control and follow-up system

Close the deal and complete all paperwork

Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery and ensure the customer understands vehicle operation, warranty and paperwork

Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize the quality of service available

Maintain a prospect development system and CSI score equal to corporate requirements

Qualifications – Sales Consultant

Minimum SIX (6) months customer-facing sales or customer service experience is important, but not mandatory. We will train the right candidates for auto sales

Outside sales experience is appreciated, but not required

Experience with customers of all income levels

Attend product and sales training courses as requested by Sales Manager

Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

Honesty, Integrity, Commitment, Perseverance and the will to succeed

Must know and understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail automobile sales

Basic computer proficiency

Professional appearance

Valid driver’s license of at least three years and clean driving record, no major infractions

Applicants must be authorized to work in the USA

Applicants must pass pre-employment background checks including motor vehicle record and drug screen
