Job Title: Senior Product Designer
Location: Columbus OH
Type: 06-month contract (with possible extension)
Pay Range: $63/hr $66/hour
Summary
A global retailer known for its wide range of fragranced personal care is seeking a Senior Product Designer for an initial two-month contract with strong potential for extension. This role requires an independent, senior-level designer with deep expertise in UX and UI design, mobile and mobile-first experiences, and strong design thinking within Agile product teams. The designer will be embedded on a feature-focused product team, collaborating daily with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality, accessible, and business-aligned digital experiences. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate professionally with cross-functional partners, including engineering, product owners, and business analysts, to create functional and engaging product experiences. Define and apply design processes, best practices, and problem-solving approaches across the product lifecycle. Create experience maps, user flows, scenarios, and prototypes from low-fidelity concepts to high-fidelity designs, including rapid prototyping for validation. Present design work and decision rationale to cross-functional teams and leadership, while providing thoughtful feedback to other designers. Key Qualifications
5–7+ years of hands-on experience designing product or UX/UI experiences, with multiple shipped products or major features. Proven experience working independently within Agile, cross-functional product teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and influence stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with a strong sense of accountability, professionalism, and consistency. Top Must-Have Skills
Proven experience as a designer embedded within or supporting a cross-functional product team Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication skills Hands-on experience working with and contributing to design systems Expertise in both visual design and interaction design (UX and UI) About Us
