
Business Development Representative - Mining Technology Group

Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to grow SAF’s presence in the copper mining market
Prospect and identify new customers and business opportunities through market research and outreach
Manage and track a sales funnel; follow up on quotations and leads
Build strong relationships with key decision-makers to understand customer needs and align solutions
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to create tailored technical solutions
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations of SAF’s capabilities
Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure mutually beneficial agreements
Monitor market trends, competitors, and industry developments to find growth opportunities
Meet sales targets and adhere to company policies within assigned regions or segments
Report regularly on sales activities, pipeline progress, and customer feedback
Forecast monthly sales/orders and maintain organized sales data
Gather and manage market intelligence to support long-term strategic decisions
Education and/or Experience
College or University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required
Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in the mining industry, particularly with technical solutions and services
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive business development initiatives
Experience in market development, including prospecting, lead generation, and account management
Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other sales tools
Solid understanding of electrowinning and electrorefining processes within copper mining operations is preferred.

Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, particularly to South America
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred to support international customer engagement
Certifications
Ability to obtain MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) certification required for site visits and compliance with industry safety standards
