
Our client is a large and sophisticated single-family office located in NYC that primarily invests in a broad range of asset classes across global external managers while opportunistically considering direct, and co-investments. The returns on investment support the family’s philanthropic and charitable endeavors.
The Senior Investment Associate will be a part of a lean investment team and report directly to the Chief Investment Officer. This individual will assist in the management of a sophisticated investment portfolio, spanning all asset classes, in both public and private markets.

Responsibilities
Source and maintain a pipeline of investment opportunities and funds
Conduct thorough investment due diligence on prospective investment opportunities including analysis of investment strategy, process, organization, returns, portfolio, and performance
Monitor performance, portfolio positions, current events, and organizational changes of the family office’s existing investments
Regularly conduct analytical reviews to evaluate relative performance of each fund manager
Draft investment recommendations/memos, diligence reports/analysis, and other materials for investment committee meetings
Assist in risk and performance analysis on underling investment managers and the overall portfolio
Aid in mentoring and managing the team’s investment associate
Qualifications
4-10 years of experience including manager research at an endowment, foundation, family office, OCIO, or similar
Ability to integrate strong analytics in quantitative and qualitative investment diligence
Experience with alternative investments and traditional investments with a preference for generalist backgrounds
Bachelor’s degree with a track record of exceptional academic performance; MBA or CFA preferred
Established network of GP relationships and investment professional contacts
Passion for investing and intellectual curiosity
Excellent analytical skills, comfort with statistics and financial math and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and database software
Willingness and ability to juggle numerous projects simultaneously, and respond to changing priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
