Location: Springfield, Massachusetts, United States Position Type: Full Time Start Date: Immediate Expiry Date: 18 Mar, 26 Experience: 0 year(s) or above Remote Job: Yes Telecommute: Yes Sponsor Visa: No Salary: $15.00 per hour Hours: May vary by week; includes at least 1 weekday shift each week (2.5-3 hours), at least 2 Saturday shifts per semester, and 5-6 required admissions events per academic year, plus trainings. Purpose
Student Ambassadors will provide a positive representation of Western New England University to prospective students and their families through campus tours and interactions at events. Ambassadors will assist in daily office operations, including communication plan execution, front office management, telecounseling, and data entry. Essential Job Functions
Conduct walking tours of the campus for prospective students and their families during regular Monday–Friday hours, Saturday morning shifts on a rotating schedule, at all Open House programs, and Accepted Students Day. Correspond with prospective students by phone, mail, or email regarding attendance at Western New England University. Maintain application records and file confidential materials (exposure to prospective students\' academic records). Aid in the preparation and execution of the communication plan through daily and bulk mailings. Assist with data entry. Attend monthly meetings scheduled by the Program Supervisors. Complete other special projects and general office duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements
Must be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing with at least one full semester at Western New England University. Typically a GPA of 2.50 or higher; continuation of employment reviewed if GPA falls below. In good disciplinary standing and maintain a presentable appearance for interactions with the public. Must pass interview with Program Supervisors and training program to be hired; ongoing demonstration of skills with periodic evaluations. Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to convey a positive impression of the University. Ability to work within a team and share responsibilities; knowledge of academic programs and campus life. Familiarity with or willingness to learn basic computer operations; confidentiality with personal data. Knowledge of campus locations (administrative offices, labs, buildings, computer center, etc.). Physical and Ergonomic Requirements
Walking 60-75 minute tours; occasional lifting and moving boxes up to 30 lbs. Equal Employment Opportunity
