Job Summary Responsible for assisting members in the selection and purchase of tires, providing a positive and professional experience, completing necessary tire bay documentation, maintaining a clean and inviting sales area, overseeing tire inventory management, and maintaining tire bay policies and procedures.

Maintain visible accurate signage

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities Member Interaction

Greeting Members

Answer phones/return voicemails

Provide quotes & follow up on previous quotes

Schedule appointments & follow up on missed appointments

Confirm appointments & review installation detailsMonitor & manage bay scheduler to ensure confirmed/cancelled/completed appointments are updated

Act as lead in special order process

Follow up on vendor emails regarding special orders/timing

Complete yellow appointment labels & stage tires for upcoming appointments

Propane filling

Expertise

Actively engage & expand tire product knowledge

Thorough understanding of wheel alignments/tire wear

Thorough understanding of TPMS along with tool expertise

Assist members with questions & issues

Be the tire warranty expert in club

Attend training sessions as scheduled

TIA level 100 certified

Propane certified

Maintain awareness of current spiffs/incentives

Inventory Management

Responsible for checking in stocking & special order tires

Actively maintain tire warehouse/inventory and act as lead in putting tires away

Monitor and pull I4 returns to vendor

Manage and complete tire returns from members and to vendors

Appearance

Arrive at the club daily in proper BJs uniform

Maintain showroom standards & cleanliness

Counter neat & organized

Ensure current promotional materials are in place / remove expired

Coffee station clean & stocked

Member restroom showroom clean

Paperwork correctly completed and filed

Upcoming appointments printed, in pouches, with TPMS kits as appropriate

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Valid driver’s license.

Strong interpersonal skills required.

Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn basic computer skills required.

Must pass TIA level 100 training course.

Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.

Environmental Job Conditions

Exposure to both indoor and outdoor temperatures and weather conditions.

Most of the time is spent standing and moving about continuously on hard surfaces. Frequent need to bend, climb, crawl, kneel, push, pull, reach, move side to side, stoop, and climb ladders/step stools.

Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.

Usually performing job surrounded by moving cars, machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting to be heard. There may be occasional exposure to company approved chemicals and cleaning agents, and strong smells.
