Responsibilities
Deliver efficient and friendly customer service across all areas of the pro-shop, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience for members/guests.
Provide high-quality golf instruction to members/guests in accordance with Invited and PGA/LPGA standards.
Develop and promote clinics, private lessons, and programs for adults, juniors, and seniors.
Promote the game of golf and the club through professional service and member engagement.
Build relationships with members by participating in committees, hosting clinics for various groups (men, women, juniors), offering personalized golf lessons, and playing rounds with members/guests.
Create and manage an annual golf calendar outlining activities and events that enhance the member experience.
Establish and achieve sales and instruction goals, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Develop and oversee golf revenue strategies, marketing initiatives, and net revenue plans per Invited budgeting and revenue guidelines.
Supervise outside golf operations (marshals, starters, golf shop attendants) to align staff performance with daily procedures and policies.
Lead and oversee golf shop operations by training, motivating, and conducting regular staff meetings.
Manage and direct golf operations staff, including recruiting, hiring, performance evaluations, and development.
Build a service-excellence team focused on value, member satisfaction, and member retention.
Plan, promote, and execute tournaments and special golf events, coordinating with other departments (e.g., Food & Beverage).
Oversee all aspects of event promotion, scheduling, execution, and post-event wrap-up.
Ensure staff are properly trained and follow club guidelines and procedures, particularly regarding closing business functions.
Required About You:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in golf operations and customer service.
PGA or LPGA Professional Certification is mandatory.
Preferred
A college degree in a related field.
Experience with direct financial management and budget responsibilities.
Ability to handle confidential company information and sensitive employee matters with discretion and professionalism.
Commitment to ethical work standards.
