Save Job

MemLog – a subsidiary of SprinD, Germany’s home for people with radical new ideas – is driving the shift toward a new computing paradigm of neuromorphic computing. We develop new memristors to enable AI-systems that compute faster with significantly higher energy-efficiency. Our goal is to mature this breakthrough technology and scale it toward mass production.

YOUR ROLE: As Senior Analog Designer you will be responsible for concept design of active and passive devices based on memristive technology. Creating new semiconductor devices from scratch in cooperation with research offers you to work at the forefront of breakthrough technologies enabling the full path up to digital designs. Finally, all devices will need to scale for mass production with foundries at a high maturity level.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Development

Create passive and active semiconductor devices based on memristive technology

Design and simulated devices with known tools

Work together with research on optimizing device parameters for new use cases

Extract simulation parameters from analogue simulations for digital modelling of design libraries

Optimize device parameters for dedicated use cases like neuromorphic computing

Cooperate with other teams in the organization as prime interface for device behaviour

Ecosystem & Partnerships

Contribute with your expertise to networking with foundries, universities, research institutes

Integrate external technical partners or experts in plan for device integration if required for the overall project plan.

Monitor memristor and CMOS technology development with focus on analogue behaviour

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Completed university degree in e.g. semiconductor technology, electrical engineering

5+ years’ work experience as analogue designer

Solid know how on analogue simulation tools like Spectre, Verilog-A, LTSpice

Expert know-how of semiconductor device physics

High experience in semiconductor quality and reliability requirements for mass production

Understand requirements for PDK and SDK parameters for digital simulations and foundries

Creative, solution-oriented and passionate way of work

Good communication and presentation skills in English and German

Based in Dresden, with the ability to work in a hybrid model that includes regular remote work

WHAT WE OFFER:

A chance to contribute to one potential breakthrough technology in Germany

A forward-thinking, mission-driven work culture at the intersection of science, administration, and innovation

Attractive compensation based on the responsibility of the position

Flat hierarchies and high individual responsibility

Access to conferences, team events and a supportive work culture.
