Job Description
We are seeking a polished, design-savvy Outside Sales Representative to represent our luxury, to‑the‑trade furniture showroom. This role is dedicated to serving interior designers, architects, and high‑end residential and commercial clients. You’ll act as a trusted resource and brand ambassador, developing long‑term relationships with industry professionals and driving showroom traffic through strategic outreach, personalized service, and deep product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities Trade Client Engagement & Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with interior designers, architects, builders, and other trade professionals.
Actively prospect and onboard new trade clients through studio visits, industry networking, and referrals.
Host and attend industry events, showroom functions, and trade shows to elevate brand presence and build rapport with the design community.
Sales & Business Development
Achieve and exceed monthly sales goals by cultivating new business and nurturing existing accounts.
Partner with the internal showroom team to create tailored design solutions and proposals for clients.
Drive showroom traffic and engagement by scheduling appointments, walkthroughs, and private client consultations.
Product Expertise & Presentation
Maintain a strong understanding of our curated luxury furniture and décor lines, including custom capabilities, materials, finishes, and lead times.
Deliver compelling product presentations and recommendations based on a deep understanding of design principles and client needs.
Serve as a consultant to trade clients, supporting their project goals while highlighting the value and versatility of our offerings.
Job Requirements
Accurately maintain CRM records, client files, and sales activity reports.
Manage follow‑ups, quotes, and order processing in collaboration with the in‑house support team.
Monitor project timelines and proactively communicate updates, ensuring a seamless client experience from specification to installation.
Qualifications
Outside sales experience in luxury interiors, furniture, fabrics, and/or the design trade.
Established relationships with design professionals and a strong presence in the local design community.
Strong knowledge of interior design trends, space planning, and luxury furnishings.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficient with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital tools relevant to design and sales.
Self‑driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple client projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred Background
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience working in a to‑the‑trade showroom environment.
Familiarity with custom furniture specifications and design documentation.
