Job Summary The New Car Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, managing the CRM system, overseeing inventory and marketing efforts, and leading a high‑performing sales team. This role ensures profitability and customer satisfaction through effective deal management, team development, and strategic execution. The Sales Manager also plays a vital role in analyzing data, improving closing ratios, and coaching team members to maximize results across all sales channels.

Key Responsibilities
CRM & Sales Strategy – Manage the CRM to ensure accurate tracking of leads and opportunities. Drive daily follow‑up activity, mine service drive leads, and analyze closing ratios across all channels.
Team Performance – Set sales goals, coach team members through one‑on‑ones, and provide regular feedback. Identify training needs and implement development plans to boost productivity.
Sales Production – Monitor performance in new vehicle sales, accessories, and F&I. Work closely with the finance team to maximize deal profitability and achieve monthly and SFE targets.
Inventory Oversight – Manage new car inventory mix, reduce aged units, and coordinate dealer trades. Ensure online listings are accurate and competitive, and align OEM orders with market demand.
Marketing & Lead Generation – Collaborate with the marketing team to run campaigns, events, and promotions that drive traffic. Track results and maintain a strong online reputation.
Customer Experience – Ensure a smooth sales process and resolve any escalations. Monitor CSI scores and implement process improvements to exceed customer expectations.
Team Development – Recruit, train, and support a high‑performing sales team. Foster a culture of accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Previous automotive sales leadership experience required.
Strong understanding of CRM systems and dealership operations.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a sales team.
Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Data‑driven with strong analytical abilities.
Knowledge of inventory management and marketing strategies.
Performance Expectations
Achieve monthly unit and gross profit goals.
Maintain strong product and finance penetration metrics.
Ensure CRM utilization and follow‑up standards are met by all salespeople.
Improve CSI scores and online reputation.
Reduce aged inventory and maximize inventory turnover.
Schedule Full‑time, includes evenings and Saturdays as needed.
Pay Structure Base salary plus bonus/commission based on department performance.
Additional Notes This role requires a strong leadership presence, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a drive to exceed dealership sales goals while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.
