We are looking for a talented individual to join the team as a Sales Trainer. Someone who thrives in training and developing our sales consultants to be successful in what they do while also grow within the company.

The Sales Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and continuously improving sales training programs that drive performance, consistency, and revenue growth. This role partners closely with sales leadership to onboard new hires, upskill existing sales professionals, and reinforce best practices, product knowledge, and consultative selling techniques. Key responsibilities include developing and facilitating training programs, managing content repositories, analyzing performance data to identify skill gaps, and aligning with marketing to provide relevant collateral.

What You Will Do:

Design, develop, and facilitate engaging sales training programs for new hires and tenured sales professionals

Lead onboarding and ramp-up training to ensure sales representatives achieve productivity quickly

Deliver training through a variety of methods including in-person sessions, virtual training, role-playing, coaching, and e-learning

Reinforce sales processes, tools, and methodologies to ensure consistent execution across the sales organization

Collaborate with sales leadership to identify skill gaps and performance opportunities

Observe sales calls, appointments, or presentations and provide actionable coaching and feedback

Maintain and update training materials, playbooks, presentations, and assessments

Track training effectiveness using performance metrics, KPIs, and feedback

Support product launches, promotions, and process changes with targeted training

Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in sales training

What We Require:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

5+ years of experience in sales, sales training, or sales leadership

Proven ability to train, coach, and motivate sales professionals

Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills

Experience with consultative or solution-based selling

Ability to influence without direct authority

Proficiency with technology, including CRM systems and sales enablement tools

Willingness to travel as needed (if applicable)

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the home improvement industry

Experience onboarding high-volume sales teams

Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design

Previous field sales experience

Experience using LMS platforms and virtual training tools

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain sitting in a stationary position for prolonged periods

Requires the ability to move about inside the office

Must be able to move items weighing up to 25 pounds

Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, customers, vendors, and the public

Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

Hours/Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week/52 weeks per year. Standard hours are M – F, 8:00 – 5:00 but due to cyclical nature of position, some overtime, including evening and weekend hours, will be required to complete projects under deadlines. Some local and statewide travel may be required.
